Preferred File Formats
The best way is to send your file in native format*. If we don’t have your application of choice, then send in the following format(s):
• EPS Files: Convert all text to outlines or send MAC fonts
• PDF Files: Press quality, bleed, to size
• TIFF Files: 300 dpi (at least), try to avoid text in TIFF files

*Native file format means the default file format used by a specific software application

File Checklist:
• All images that extend past the paper’s edge have at least a 1/8” bleed around it.
• No images in RGB color mode unless supplying for web design.
• Spot colors are clearly listed with the corresponding Pantone color.
• All images are 300 dpi or higher. MUCH higher is you are rendering text (not recommended).
• Check your file formats, we cannot do much with GIF files, etc.
• Include all fonts used to create your document (this includes fonts used in illustrations, and all required linked images) MAC fonts only, please.
• Include all linked images used in your document. If you’re in doubt, send the embedded ones too.
• Double check your disk and copied files to make sure everything is working and no files are corrupt.
• If files need to be compressed, use WinZip, or StuffIt.
• Please send crop marks, die lines, etc.
• Be sure to create your job size to your quoted specs.
• Set files up in either single pages or printer’s spreads.
• If using master pages, make sure that the left and right hand pages are formatted correctly to allow for proper margins.
• Make sure colors are set up as they are supposed to print (process or spot).
• If creating clipping paths for images, EPS format should be used (TIFFs tend to lose paths).
• Include a complete set of lasers from your final document for proofing.
